Question
Hi Brian! Thank you for your assistance!

My Dell laptop has a DVD Burner..... Listed under Device Manager as a "TSSTcorp DVD+-RW TS-L632D". I have no idea what to ask for if I needed to replace it.I know some items require "IDE" or "SATA". What are your thoughts?

Thanks!

Answer
Hi Jaye

Best thing to do is replace it with the identical part.  Just do an eBay or Amazon search for a "TS-L632D".  Make sure you search with the quotes, because there are other versions of the TS-L632 besides the "D" model.  Most likely you will want to buy this used or as a refurbished item, as direct replacements often cost well over $100 new.  Used on eBay they run about $10-$30.  BTW - It's an IDE model.
