hi james,
i was planning on downloading aim but it turns out it comes loaded with  malware. i was wondering whether using the live chat function via the actual aim site (aimexpress) would be a safe alternative? thank you

Not sure who told you it was loaded with malware, but maybe you could show me a reputable study or review that says that.

I don't see why you can't use it. There are alternatives, so if you don't like it, you can always remove and try another one.
