Question
I hane this virus and want to know "if I restore to an earlier date, will it go away?

give step by step instructions.
However, I'd see if the name of the application in Add/Remove programs has the System Check name (or something that doesn't look like it belongs).
Then remove the application and reboot. Before of after you do this, I'd download and install Malwarebytes - http://enrgy21.com has a link to free/free trial version - update and run a full system scan at least once.
