QUESTION: I've run the Hijacker program and have saved it in a log. I guess my next move is to send it to you. I've got a host of problems...but from what I've read, fixing this one should fix the others..so, here's hoping.

ANSWER: Hi Mary

Yes, there are several instances of malware showing up in your log.  Please follow the instructions below:

Please download and run RKill.exe from here:
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/anti-virus/rkill
This will stop all the infections from running so they can be safely removed.

Next, please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to your desktop from here:

http://fileforum.betanews.com/download/Malwarebytes-AntiMalware/1186760019/1

Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
* At the end of the install, Malwarebytes will perform an update to it's definitions.
* Once the program has loaded, select Full scan, then click Scan.
* When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
* Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
* Reboot the computer.
* When completed, a log will open in Notepad.  Please save it to your desktop.

Copy the Malwarebytes log and paste it to me, along with a new HJT log in a follow-up.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.  You said that Malwarebytes picked up "one trojan and 4 others", but the log for the scan shows nothing was detected.  Was this a second scan log that you did?  I just want to make sure that the malware was actually removed.  Thanks.
