Similar to Anti Spam Email Filters, Is it possible to build Anti Spam SMS Filters ?.

i.e. Similar to having inbox, outbox, drafts, send messages folder can we also have a Spam folder where the Spam SMS Messages are redirected to SMS Folder and not Inbox messages folder ?.

There are many chances for sending bulk sms which are Spam SMS by Spamsters. If there is Anti Spam SMS Filter designed and developed for cellphones, smartphones, this SPAM SMS will be redirected
automatically to SPAM Folder,  instead of messages redirecting to inbox folder.

Awaiting your reply,

Thanks & Regards,

Answer
This is a great idea.  You can determine how to do this by first understanding the protocol.  SMS and email have the same roots.

The interface between a developer and the OS is where you'd want to start looking for the hooks you'd use to do this.  You'd want to know these hooks are exposed to developers.

It seems easy and straight-forward enough that I wonder if this hasn't been done.  The thing is, carriers have a different hold on their customers than an ISP does.  Your question has me thinking it'd be easy to launch a Denial of Service attack too.

Please send a reply if you want to kick this around a bit more.
