Computer Security & Viruses/Email Address Validation

Dear John

Will the following email addresses will be accepted and
validated by the respective email servers ?.

i.e. The User Name and Domain Name is the same.

In case any User is trying to create such email addresses, will
they be allowed to be created ?.

If yes i.e. these email addresses can be created, do you feel
this should not be allowed by respective email servers ?.

Awaiting your reply,

Thanks & Regards,
Prashant S Akerkar

I wasn't sure I understood the question at first.  An example of what you're asking is, should Google allow someone to create an address called   (Google owns gmail).

If this is correct, then "It Depends". Since you're asking I'm wondering if you have a Computer Use Policy.

Addresses like you described are typically used internally.  (Or are reserved but not used).    Since a domain name is typically a sales mark, allowing someone else to use it (like a customer) doesn't seem like a good idea.  Letting an employee use it on behalf of the business is reasonable as long as you have evidence that they're aware of company policy and that they agreed to comply with it.

Does this answer your question?
