Computer Security & Viruses/"malware.trace"

Question
I got a new desktop pc a week ago and ran a scan with 'SuperAntiSpyware.' Besides a lot of tracking cookies, it found  'malware.trace':

(x86) HKU\S-5-21-1830692920-2406115101-710856616-1001\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWS NT\CURRENTVERSION\WINLOGON#SHELL

Are you familiar with this? I put it in quarantine, or could it be a false positive and something I need?  Thanks

Answer
Hi Lee

The registry value for what you found would normally contain explorer.exe.  Since this is a new pc, I think that the manufacturer may have added something to customize your login or Start screen.  I would most likely call this a false positive, but if you have quarantined this without any noticeable problems then I wouldn't be concerned.  If there are other entries showing up in future scans let me know so we can look further into this.  Cheers!
