I didn't see Clean Install anywhere.
I still get the same error message.

Zone Alarm is alerting me of an update, however, when I try to download the update, I receive an error message stating that ...is not a valid Win 32 application.
What action is required?

When you go for the update choose to do a clean install. That should do it.

At the following site, click on ZoneAlarm:

After clicking the above site, you will get a window requesting your email address, which they will then send you the update.
