Computer Security & Viruses/Antivirus Internet Security Software

Question
Trying to figure out whether it is better to purchase those 'Internet Security Suites' (all in one package) or individual software ( 1 for antivirus and another for spyware).  Currently installed with Antivirus Kit2005 (www.antivirus.net.my) and installed with Adware SE Personal but not all spyware being detected. Thinking of subscribing to Adware SE Plus which monitors online.  What is your advice?  Thanks and Regards.

Answer
Hi BB,

A friend of mine has the paid version of Adware SE and thinks it does a great job. In fact, they are the only one that I know that has a paid version of any anti-spyware program.

PC World lists their favorite, free anti-spyware programs at:

http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/collection/collid,1347-order,1/files.html

If you have AV and firewall programs running and run the anti-spyware program once a week or so, you should not have too many problems.

Hope this helps!

I can answer most questions regarding viruses/Trojans and help to remove them.

This happens to be of interest to me as it boggles my mind that people have nothing better to do than to write a virus. Wish these people, the ones who write viruses would put the knowledge to good use instead. My job as a local tech involves removing viruses and/or spyware.
