Question
I have a Bloodhound.Exploit.33 virus on my PC running XP.
Norton Av detects and repairs but keeps reappearing.
Have cleaned PC- temp files, Int Temp files, run CCcleaner sfw, Adaware, Spybot, Windows malicious removal but keeps coming back as another file. ie 2376.tmp etc

I have also noticed that IE intermittently drops out. I wonder if this is related

Thanks for your help John

Answer
Hi John,

Disable System Restore, then run a virus scan and let Norton repair. Afterwards, enable System Restore.

Check out the following:

Do what they say under Recommendations. Files that are detected as Bloodhound.Exploit.33 may be malicious. We suggest that you submit to Symantec Security Response any files that are detected as Bloodhound.Exploit.33. For instructions on how to do this using Scan and Deliver, read How to submit a file to Symantec Security Response using Scan and Deliver.

Go to Windows Update and download the available updates.

Hope this helps!

This happens to be of interest to me as it boggles my mind that people have nothing better to do than to write a virus. Wish these people, the ones who write viruses would put the knowledge to good use instead. My job as a local tech involves removing viruses and/or spyware.
