Computer Security & Viruses/Boot Virus HELP?

Hi Lorry,hopefully u can help me with my problem.  i use a Win Xp sp2, 1gb ram, 1.8 ghz processor, 40 gb HD.
I start my PC up and it goes to a Windows loading then right in the midle of loding it restarts then loads backup and asks me if i want to use Safe mode or other mode (I've tried all of them none work)  Then i choose one it loads then restarts then same thing.  
I did have Norton Antivirus 2005 and its firewall.  And I had Sygate firewall.  I also used spybot and Adaware.  
I have tried to use boot disks from microsoft to reformat my pc but i can't even do that.  I get an I/O error.
I desperatly need help

Plese give give a good answer or recommend a virus removal floppy, something  I already asked Dan he could not help me

It's also possible that the memory is bad, try replacing that.

This happens to be of interest to me as it boggles my mind that people have nothing better to do than to write a virus. Wish these people, the ones who write viruses would put the knowledge to good use instead. My job as a local tech involves removing viruses and/or spyware.
