You suggested that I go to http://sarc.com and then scroll down to free online virus and security check, but there was no link.

Any help in getting rid of JavaByte Verifylexploit will be appreciated.

Hi Sallie,

When you went to the SARC site, in blue there is "free online virus and security check", click that.

Did you check out the link I sent you regarding the removal?

http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/trojan.byteverify.html

Make sure that you follow the instructions there, step by step, especially the disabling of System Restore.
