Experience This happens to be of interest to me as it boggles my mind that people have nothing better to do than to write a virus. Wish these people, the ones who write viruses would put the knowledge to good use instead. My job as a local tech involves removing viruses and/or spyware.
whenever i access certain files on my computer it immediately hangs !
the hard disk will make this humming sound as if it is trying to do something.
then there is nothing i can do but to restart the computer.
i ran virusscan using mcafee but it didnt detect any viruses at all!?
please-please help!

Answer Hi Fina,
Try opening Internet Explorer, go to Tools, Internet Options, under the General tab click Delete Cookies, Delete Files, and Clear History. Defrag and reboot.
When opening the program(s) in question, try not having any other programs running, it could be a memory propblem.
