hi lorry,
   this happened when I install McAfee anti virus, after installing the software  it begin scanning, and McAfee detect steath boot virus  I forgot if it is stealth boot a or b or c,  then after scanning,  McAfee prompt messege " anti virus cannot delete stealth boot virus,  so after that i decided to restart and begin scanning again  my anti virus did not detect anything, i think they hide inside in root memory  im worried for my pc. i dont know how to remove this virus hope you can me...

Hi Mike,

Even though you McAfee installed, I would suggest that you go to: http://sarc.com/  Scroll down and click on,"Free Online Virus and Security Check"  Write down exactly anything it finds, then return to: http://sarc.com/  and do a search for what was found. Symantec usually has a removal tool and/or directions for removing manually.
