ive done mcafee virus scans and such but there is always a few that are disk right protected and i disabled system restore on start up but it didnt help
any advice you can give me on this problem would be a great help
AnswerHi John,
Even though you scanned with McAfee, try going to:
http://sarc.com/ Scroll down and click on,"Free Online Virus and Security Check" and run the virus check. Write down exactly anything it finds, then return to:
http://sarc.com/ and do a search for what was found. Symantec usually has a removal tool and/or directions for removing manually.
Keep System Restore disabled when repairing and make sure you follow the directions for removal step by step.
Hope this helps!
