Question
Hey i am running Norton Anti Virus program it is a free trial tho. It Detected a trojan virus on my computer. It is in my C/my documents/my shared folder. I have tried to go to  regedit but a black window pops up and closes. I have gotton avast! virus cleaning program. If you can please hlep me i greatly appreciate it.

What was the name of the virus, not where it is located? Am fairly certain that after running the scan with Norton, you can click on the name of the virus which will take you to the page with removal directions.  

If that is not the case, write down exactly anything it finds, then go to: http://www.symantec.com/search/  and do a search for what was found. Symantec usually has a removal tool and/or directions for removing manually. Make sure that you follow the instructions for removal, step by step, especially the part regarding disabling System Restore.
