Computer action games - NES/SNES games on my PC

Expert: Nick - 4/14/2003

Question
Hey Nick. A long time ago, one of my computer geek classmates was able to put a bunch of SNES/NES games on my win95 aptiva. Some are Zelda3, Mario3, Final Fantasy. I don't where he is now, and I have a new computer I would like to install those games to. But I don't know how it's done or where I could get those games. All that I can remember is my friend made me type "ZSNES" in DOS before I could access those games. Do you know how and where I could get those games? Thanks in advance. I will truly praise you if you could give me this answer. I've been looking for months.

Answer
Lol, you'll trully praise me? Excellent then bow down Mark ;).
OK first visit http://www.zophar.net/index.phtml
Here you can find many emulators for all different types of games consoles.
Just click Windows/Dos emulators on the right hand menu and then find the console you want.
Download any of the emulators there. All you have to do is run the emulator on your machine and it'll run SNES games. To download the SNES games search Yahoo for SNES ROM's. Rom's are the games in files which the emulator can read. Save the Rom to the hard drive and then use the emnulator to open it. Game runs. Use the read me file that comes with the emulator to find out the controls on a keyboard etc.
Any more help needed and just ask another question
p.s. Using an emulator is illegal in some cases unless you own the original game cartridges. :P
