Concerns about Breast Size/Normal breast size?

Question
I am 13(turning 14 in august), around 5"4', and about 125 pounds, I started my period in January of this year and I noticed that I am only a size 34A. I wasn't sure if this size is normal and I am hoping for them to grow. My mothers side has very big busts, but it is the opposite on my fathers side(I am probably bigger than my 45 year old aunts). Before I had my period my breasts were a 32A and they have only grown one size since then. So pretty much, I was just wondering if any of this information would help you to decide whether this size was normal for my age and body type.

Answer
Hi Heather,

Thank you for your excellent question.  As you have indicated, your breast size is influenced by a number of factors.  Genetics certainly play a part in all of our body characteristics.  Also hormones and nutrients help to determine your breast size.  You have been having your period for about 6 months.  Do they come regularly?  Can you predict pretty closely when the next one will start?  Do you have much pain or cramping with them?  Those things can indicate hormone imbalance, or a lack of certain hormones.  Also, is there anything you can tell me about your sexual feelings?  Hormonal changes certainly do affect development in the body in may ways.  Do your breasts fill the A cups?  34A can be a very nice size, but I understand you wanting them to get bigger.  That's what most girls want.  I will be happy to discuss this further with you.  You may mark your follow-up as private.

Expertise

I can speak to the issues related to acceptance by others. Many women have the mistaken opinion that small breasts are not acceptable. If your desire is to increase the size of your breasts, I can discuss that and hopefully give helpful suggestions.

Experience

I have done a great deal of research in herbal remedies, and have been involved in a few cases of encouraging and helping women to happily accept the body they have, including one who chose to try natural enhancement.
