Conducting - Batons

Question
What baton would you recommend for large concert band/orchestral conducting?

I'm currently using a Mollard "Encore" Series, 14 inches.

Answer
Hi, thanks for writing.  That baton should be fine, as long as that length is clearly visible to the back of the band/orchestra.  Otherwise, you might get a slightly longer one.  Ask about the visibility from your band members on the back row.  Write anytime.
