Conifers/Planting only one Coast Redwood

Your neighbors ultimately shouldn't be concerned; of all the trees, redwoods are among the most resilient to wind damage; you'd have to be to live over 2000 years and 300 ft tall. There are pictures of entire forests nocked down by hurricanes with the lone redwood or two the only thing left standing. If your yard can handle that big a tree, your neighbors are safe.
