Question
I live in northren florida close to the Georgia border can I successfully grow a blue point juniper? Do I need to place it in a shaded or partially shaded area?

Answer
Yes it will grow there fine. They like full sun light and well drained soils. I would however wait until next spring or late winter to plant it due to the lack of water in the soil in the summer months. Here is a web link to more information on junipers in Florida. http://edis.ifas.ufl.edu/mg109
