Conifers/Conifer roots

Question
I have a 25 foot tall conifer that I wish to remove, but my house is 10 feet away,
so would the removal cause any damage to the foundations?

Answer
No as long as you do not push the tree over or push the stump out. I would cut the tree and grind the stump down to about 12 inches below the ground surface. The roots will still be there but over time the roots and the stump will decay and pines do not sprout so there will be no problem with have live roots sprouting new growth.
