I bought a small tree at wal-mart the other day as a gift for my wife, and can't find any good ideas on how to care for the tree, and of course noone at wal-mart had any idea. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am assuming that this time of year you may be talking about a live Christmas tree??? If so it most important thing you can do is make sure it has enough water--inside it will dry out and die. Then when Christmas is over plant it out side.
