Conifers/Cypress Roots - Follow-up

Question
You previously answered someone's question about an Italian cypress whose roots penetrated her fiberglass swimming pool.  Would you expect this same thing to happen to a concrete (gunite) pool that is steel reinforced?  Or would this be strong enough to all the roots to just continue to grow downward against that surface?

Answer
You should not have a problem with the roots with a concrete pool. The walls would act as a barmier and stop any roots. The roots would need a weak spot to enter and if there were a weak spot you would be losing water. You should have no problem with roots.
