Having served in congregational pulpits since 1970, I now am President of the Foundation For Family Education, Inc. a non-profit educational endeavor. Question Is Coke & Pepsi Kosher? since it contain Carmine - Carmine may be prepared from cochineal, by boiling dried insects in water to extract the carminic acid

I didn't check further but I don't believe that anyone anymore is using carmine=cochineal under the OU, cRc, OK, Kaf-K and speaking for the Rabbinical Assembly and Conservative, neither do we.
