Question What is the republician view on pro-life/pro-choice? I know pro-life, but what is the rational on the issue? What if the mother's life is at risk? Who's life is priority? And also is it a republician "angle" to refer to people who are pro-choice as pro-abortion?
Answer Pro-life is being against murder. Pro-choice is being in favor of murder sometimes.
If you believe it is murder to kill a 1-day old baby, then why isn't it murder 3-days earlier, or a week earlier, or 3 weeks earlier, or a month, or 3 months?
Some people believe that in the 1/10th of 1% of abortions that occur to save the life of the mother, it is acceptable to kill the unborn child, because they might both die. Others believe that murder is murder, period. Also, the pro-abortion people use the canard of "save the life of the mother" to prevent any restrictions of abortion at any time, for any reason.
The "angle" you speak of was started by the Left years ago. Every major newspaper refers to the sides as "pro-choice" or "anti-choice." No newspaper that I know of refers to pro-life as pro-life.
As for the pro-choice, pro-abortion labels, if the Left was really in favor of "choice" they should be quite happy when someone chooses not to have an abortion. However, as you saw with Sarah Palin, the Pro-Abortion people went hysterical because she chose to have a baby with Downs Syndrome. So much for "pro-choice."
