About Mrs. Priscilla Lyons
Expertise
I have time for you. The Bible has been my guiding light for most of the 56 years of my life. My missionary parents in Brazil kindled a love for God`s Word by their example and their love for truth. The Lord has blessed my husband and me with responsible, independent children who love and serve the Lord and are our best friends. I would enjoy discussing any subject or problem from a Biblical perspective. I know the dangers of government entitlement mentality, the dangers of homosexuality, abortion, euthanasia, embryonic stem cell research, gun restrictions, pacifism and environmental extremism.

Experience
My husband and I are active in local Republican politics and I've served on a Right to Life PAC.

Conservatives - Roe vs. Wade

Expert: Mrs. Priscilla Lyons - 2/2/2008

Question
HOw can Roe Vs. Wade be overturned?
If 7 of the 9 Supreme Court Justices have been appointed by Republicans, why don't they just take a vote?
Is it by Majority or do 9 out of 9 have to agree?

Answer
Dear John,
Thanks for writing.  Even pro-life Republican presidents don't always get their best nominees for Supreme Court confirmed by Democrat senators who use fake filibuster (no actual continual talking on the Senate floor) or otherwise get their way to block good, pro-life nominees.
There seems to be 4 pro-life justices, and 5 pro-choice justices, so if enough pro-life senators and a strongly pro-life president were to be elected, no doubt Roe v. Wade would be overturned after another justice position is open and filled.
I want to be faithful in all opportunities to influence others to end this holocaust, whether it be voting, trying to keep the pro-life plank in the Republican platform, or anything else.
   Priscilla
