My missionary parents in Brazil kindled a love for God`s Word by their example and their love for truth. Question IN your expertise description you said that the Bible has been your guide for most of your life, but later you said that pacifism was a danger. I have read the Bible and read that Jesus considered himself a pacifist and said "blessed are the peacemakers", and a lot of other antiwar quotes. So how can you believe that pacifism is wrong yet use the Bible as your guide?
Answer Our pastor this morning mentioned in his sermon Exodus 15:3 "The Lord is a man of war..." and Genesis 14:14, where Abraham "armed his trained servants, born in his own house, three hundred and eighteen, and pursued them..." He said we don't often think of our father in the faith, Abraham, as being a man who trained his servants to be able to kill the kings to recover Lot who had been captured and taken away.
