AboutMrs. Priscilla Lyons Expertise I have time for you. The Bible has been my guiding light for most of the 56 years of my life. My missionary parents in Brazil kindled a love for God`s Word by their example and their love for truth. The Lord has blessed my husband and me with responsible, independent children who love and serve the Lord and are our best friends. I would enjoy discussing any subject or problem from a Biblical perspective. I know the dangers of government entitlement mentality, the dangers of homosexuality, abortion, euthanasia, embryonic stem cell research, gun restrictions, pacifism and environmental extremism.
Experience My husband and I are active in local Republican politics and I've served on a Right to Life PAC.
Question Excuse me?!
Calling people "rag head" because they are of Arabic descent, racism
Saying that the United States needs to impose entire control of a region and impose a state religion, facism
Communism and Islam do not denote non-free nations, in fact they do denote freedoms, Communism as originally proposed by Karl Marx in the 19th century actually supported more freedom than a democratic or capitalist system is even capable of allowing, you may be tempted to reply that it was in fact Marx who stated religion to be the opiate of the masses, I won't contest it, he did say it. What he meant however was that religion, in a highly organized form, is a form of social control, such as the anglican church of his time (you must consider his writings in context of the world scene during the 19th century).
Furthermore, Islam does not denote a lack of freedom, and I really must question where you've learned anything about the religion itself, as it merely teaches a more devout following of the same God that Christianity follows, and the same God that Judaism follows, however it has differeing views of Jesus Christ's role in the religion, instead viewing him as a prophet and not the messiah, and viewing Mohhamed as yet another prophet.
In a simpler since, your ignorance towards a religion and a culture is leading you to suggest that bombing and attacking nations purely because they decide a different religion than your own, is an act out of love.
You are going to imply that blowing living human beings apart shows them the love of the Christian church? I really think you've got something backwards here, the basis of Christianity, nor the Bible (Old or New Testament) does not suggest obliterating non-believers in a violent maelstrom of destruction that no living thing can hope to escape. It however does suggest loving your fellow man, however I don't think that the Lockheed B-2 Spirit is a love spreading device, yet they seem to be making their rounds of the middle east fairly often. If you really want to show these people the love of God, you need to stand with them, not against them, if you really want to show these people the reasons you view Christianity as a positive force, you need to express it in a civilized, and respectful manner.
You sit over there and tell me that it's ok to hate them and wish them harm, make racist comments, and desire a facist government system, out of LOVE?!
That isn't love, that's hatred and power lust.

Hi
You say you are a Christian, share your views on Ann Coulter, the woman who proclaims to be a devout Christian, yet preaches racism, hatred, and facism.
Does Christianity actually support these views? I thought it supported views more along the line of loving your fellow man, not carpet bombing him, and using him for televised blood sport, merely because he's got a better tan than you. Please, what is your opinion on this.
Answer -
Dear Bobbert,
Thanks for writing. I can't exactly speak for Ann Coulter, but it isn't racism, hatred, or fascism to tell the truth which applies to anyone, whatever race or color. Rather than hatred, it is love to get people to face an unpleasant truth so they have the opportunity to choose a better path. It is love to point out the terrible consequences from certain choices. If I saw someone heading for certain death, wouldn't I be callous to pat them on the back and affirm their direction?
You may say that the certain death I see ahead is just my opinion. If so, then everyone's opinion is of equal value, KKK as well as your opinion. I base my concern (and I imagine Coulter does also) on the revelation our Creator has provided for us, the Bible, which is powerful enough to be treated as a threat to non-free countries (Muslim and Communist).
Coulter uses her God-given wit to successfully cut through a lot of harmful baloney, which might be why she is subjected to name calling from people who want to be affirmed in their destructive choices.
Sincerely,
Priscilla
Answer Dear Bobbert,
I agree with you that violence is deplorable, but as long as there are people who want to have their own way instead of trusting God's way, there will be injustice and violence.
God created humans to live forever in a perfect environment doing His will, but all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. We're all separated from a perfect God by our sins, which have brought untold misery to this world.
Although God is the source of justice and has to keep sin out of His perfect eternity, He is also the source of love, so He became human to give His perfect life to pay for our sins. He came back to life and offers to live His perfect life in us forever when we trust Him enough to follow Him and ask Him to take away our sins with His life payment.
Although I'll never be perfect, it is wonderful to have peace about eternity because my confidence is in Christ living in me, not confidence in myself. If I get blown up by a Lockheed B-2, or by a suicide bomber, I still have a glorious future forever with my Creator who loves me.
Don't let Coulter or any other imperfect person keep you from accepting the perfect eternity God has provided for us at great cost to Himself.
Sincerely,
Priscilla
