Question
Has the current administration breached the separation between Church an state? give both sides of the controversy surrounding this amendment.

Answer
The First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution states that "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances."

I can't think of a thing that Congress or the Executive branch has done (except for the McCain / Feingold law that prohibits certain types campaign activity)that has violated any aspect of this Amendment. Do you have something specific in mind?
