AboutMrs. Priscilla Lyons Expertise I have time for you. The Bible has been my guiding light for most of the 56 years of my life. My missionary parents in Brazil kindled a love for God`s Word by their example and their love for truth. The Lord has blessed my husband and me with responsible, independent children who love and serve the Lord and are our best friends. I would enjoy discussing any subject or problem from a Biblical perspective. I know the dangers of government entitlement mentality, the dangers of homosexuality, abortion, euthanasia, embryonic stem cell research, gun restrictions, pacifism and environmental extremism.
Experience My husband and I are active in local Republican politics and I've served on a Right to Life PAC.

I really like Vice President Cheney and I was wondering what is a reliable way to find out if he voted for Ross Perot or Bob Dole. I can find nothing either way. Do you know?
Answer -
Dear Neal,
Thanks for writing. What with our secret ballot system, I'm sure there isn't a reliable way to find out how VP Cheney voted. It wouldn't be in his interest to say he voted for Perot, so I wouldn't trust hearsay that claimed he said he did vote for Perot.
Have a great day and a great forever through Jesus!

Hi, and thank you. The problem is that I am the source of the hearsay and I am looking to confirm or dispell my suspicion. I was confused when Cheney was Bush's running mate because I thought I saw him on MacNeil/Lehrer Newshour in 1996 endorsing Perot. If I can ever find transcripts or copies of episodes, I'll look it up for sure. I'm switching from Reform Party to Republican, anyway, so I don't agree with the assumption that it is not in Cheney's interest. At this time, I think it will be helpful to prove that the Republican Party is the Reform Party. If you payed attention to what Democrats did to Ralph Nader, you would understand how we need the protection of operating within the Republican Party.
Answer Dear Neal,
I know exactly how frustrating it is to remember something and not be able to corroborate it. I have seen and even printed news online that gets pulled later and becomes inaccessible because the source figured out a politically incorrect implication not realized right away. I'm not sure what you remember would be politically incorrect enough to "shred" but there should be some way you could access something that was actually aired like that. Have you checked with big libraries, especially university libraries? They probably have access to such things and could help you search.
I see your point about enlarging the Republican "tent" to include Reform Party minded people being in Cheney's interest.
Best wishes on your efforts.
