Hi,
 How can the U.S. be called a democracy if the government is blatently going against the will of its people by attempting to enter into war with Iraq.   The government is strong arming Turkey to reverse it's decision.  The government is also suggesting that news reports downplay the antiwar demonstrations going on throughout our country and the world, while at the same time hyping up any messages that may even imply Saadam Said, "Americans are Cowards".  This appears to be an enormous conspiracy, that of course began with the election of Bush#2.  What is happening and why is it getting so out of control.  Who has a vestid interest so great that they would have the Puppet Bush go against the UN and take us to war?

First off were are not a democracy we are a representative republic.

We elect officials to act for us. Public opinion on issues like this with Iraq has little impact because the public can't possibly know what the President knows.

Actually Turkey is still taking part but not as troop launching position.

As far as peace protests, they are in the grand scale very small and get attention out of porportion with thier actual numbers.

Bush won the election there is no conspiracy.
Nor is he a puppet.

The UN is not keeping its word.
17 resolution and 12 years are far too long.
This needs to be addressed.
1441 called for Saddam to disarm now as he aggreed to for a ceasefire in 1991. These were terms for a peace treaty to be signed once he complied. You are aware there was only a ceasefire and that a state war has been there 1991?
Those that are opposed;
France stands to lose 60 Billion in oil money
Germany Russia  and France all have sold weapons parts and dual use banned material.
Russia is owed vast sums of money.

So the question should really be why are some in the UN not doing the right thing?
