AboutAndrew Crome Expertise I have played games since the early nineties. I can answer questions on the SNES, the Sega Saturn, N64, Dreamcast, Gamecube, Xbox, 360, and DS. I can tell you what games are worth getting, and which aren`t, as well as the history of these systems. While I`m no expert on other systems I`m more than happy to find out things you would like to know about them.

Answer Hi Eric,
It's pretty easy to get online with XBL. If you connect to the net via a router, all you need in terms of equipment is an ethernet cable. Plug one end into the Box and the other into the router. If you connect via a USB or cable modem, then you'll need to use a crossover ethernet cable (no more than £3/$3 in a computer shop, or search on EBay)and plug the xbox into your PC. You'll need to set up Internet Connection Sharing - The following site goes into significant detail on how to connect (http://www.xboxlivetheguide.co.uk/XBoxLiveTheGuide2.php?department=Diagrams)
If your XBox doesn't have an Xbox Live option on your Dashboard (the screen you get when you turn your XB on without a disk in it), then you'll also need to track down an Xbox Live sign-up disk. This may be quite hard to track down, but I would try Ebay as your best bet. The disk will update your Xbox with the software you need to access Live. You will also need to buy a subscription - if you can find a sealed sign-up disk, this will be included, but as I say these are quite rare. The old Live service needed a credit card to sign-up, but this has been removed from the new 360 service. Unfortunately I don't know if this is still the case when using the original service. However, you any Xbox 360 Live subscription should also work - I'd buy a three month subscription first of all just to try things out.
I realise this sounds quite complicated, but as long as you can find an update disk, it should be fairly easy. The 360 is a lot easier to hook up, as you simply plug-in and go!
