Question
I have just recently purchases an action replay max for PSP at my local Futureshop Store. Instead of purchaseing a  media manager i got it free off the net.

Before i had downloaded the media maneger i couldn't get my AR max to reconize my PSP which was conected through the USB port supplied to me. I still can't get it to reconize that it is plugged in and have even watched videos on Youtube to try and figure the issue.

Why wont it pick up my PSP?

Answer
Gday Jamie,

The only 5 things I can think of are the following.

You have not set you PSP into USB mode.  (This is sometimes commonly overlooked as it is not default for this to be turned on your PSP)

Your USB cord is not working and needs replacing.  (Get a cord that you know for certain works, borrow a friends or use one that connects to something else)

The USB port you have plugged you PSP into is not functioning.  (Again test the USB port on you computer with another USB device.  Camera, Media player, printer)

If all three of the above are tested and it is still not working it is one of 2 things relating to you PSP with are a little more serious.  You have downloaded some sort of software that has corrupted you PSP USB software. (Although a chance I would bet it very low possibility) Or you USB port of you PSP is damaged.  Which is more a higher possibility.  This can be fixed with a replacement USB port part.

Again before hacking your PSP to pieces check to see if it is under warranty and get it fixed by Sony before attempting the job yourself.

Hope this helps.
