i heard you say that you could catch any pokemon (even Mew!) without a gameshark if so can you tell me please.

This is possible in the first generation of Pokémon games - Red, Blue, Green, and Yellow, but not in any other games. In those first generation games, the trick involves having a Pokémon that knows Fly, and not having fought one of two trainers: The Gambler east of Saffron, facing the entrace to the underground pathway, or the Jr. Trainer north of Cerulean standing in the grass left of the bridge. If you have a first-generation Pokémon game and meet these requirements (or are willing to start your game over), send a reply and I'll explain in depth how to use this trick.
