Hi Russel! I've got 3 consoles using the CD format for games: Wii, Playstation 2 and Xbox 360.

The thing is some people have told me that there's some magnetic thing concerning to Consoles that use CD's, I've got my Xbox360 on top of the PS2 and all of my games (PS2, Xbox360 and Wii games) really close to those two consoles.

Here's my question: Is the magnetism of the consoles and games a concern enough to place the consoles apart and keep games far enough from any consoles to prevent any damage or disfunction to my videogames?"

To the best of my knowledge, it doesn't matter if you keep the video game consoles close to your video games. This is the first time I have ever heard of this, and does not make any sense. I know I always have all my games in one CD case, and my case right by by consoles, and never had a problem. Sometimes I even flip the CD upside down, so it won't scratch and put in on my console and put it away later, and I never had a problem. I honestly don't think you have anything to worry about. I do know that if you have an older PS2 (Not a slim one) that playing DVD players ruins the laser and eventually it will be garbage, but nothing about keep the games close to the console.
