Console Games (Nintendo, Sony etc.) and Arcade Games/PSP Games from Thailand

Question
Hi, a friend of mine went to Thailand and I asked her to get some PSP games for my son.  She bought back 5 games, but they are on DVD and there seems to be different file extensions on each disc.  How can I tell if they are actually PSP games, and how do I get them on to a memory stick to be able to play them?

Answer
Gday Peter,

Coming from Thailand I would say almost 99% of all video game software is obviously bootlegged/pirated.  (Goodness knows what you have)

Since it is not even on a PSP disk but a DVD it could be anything in any format that could require some type of homebrew operating system on you PSP to even run the thing.  It might be something else completely like a PS2 game?  If it is different on each disk I really don't have a clue.  Maybe google the file extension types and see what is needed.

There weren't any poorly written bad English instructions or maybe a PDF or TXT on the disk with some type of instructions on it?

Bottom line is I would smack your friend for not getting the proper bootleg PSP disks from Thailand but some downloadable thing that has no instructions.  Then think about buying local or even reputable import games for your sons PSP and not crappy pirated Thai software.  (Ultimately if you did you would not be having this problem.)
