Question Hi there, I was just wondering if it's possible to hook up my Wii to a monitor? Also, I just bought a 5.1 suround sound system. (Crappy one) And it came with three little cables, and it said that they were to hook up the audio cables to consoles although it shows what consoles it can hook up to. It doesn't show the Wii
The cables are simply red, green, and white. I think the green is to plug in the audio,a nd the red/ white are left/right speakers? I don't know
I was just wondering if I could hook my Wii up to a monitor, and have sound with it.
Answer Gday Leighton,
Should be an easy thing to do you all you would need is a a Wii to VGA cable and make a couple of settings in the Wii menu for it to display. The Cable is not cheap and have reportedly the Wii has some graphical bugs when attempting to display in VGA you also may have to get some male to male connectors to connect up you sound. But it can be done. (Although you could probably buy a second hand TV for the cost of the cable, unless you have a nice big screen monitor you where planning to use)
For you crappy surround system I would either consult the manual or maybe google the extended manual online.
