About Matlock
Expertise
First thing is first. Do not ask me any questions regarding Playstation, X-Box or Game Boy Advance/DS. I don't own any of these systems, so I can't help you and if you ask it will simply be sent to the question pool for another expert in the category to answer. That being said, I am the proud owner of a Nintendo Wii. I own Wii Sports, Wii Play, Red Steel, RE4 Wii Edition, Pirates of the Carribean: At World's End, Zelda: Twilight Princess, Marvel Ultimate Alliance, Metroid Prime 3 Corruption, Trauma Center: Second Opinion, WWE SmackDown VS Raw 2008 and Soul Calibur: Legends. I have played all these games and gotten fairly far, so if you own them and need some assistance, I can provide you with it. I cannot answer any questions related to hardware. Not my specialty, sorry. What I can maybe answer for you are questions related to various games. I have played quite a number of titles on the NES, SNES, N64 and the Gamecube as well as a few titles on the Sega Game Gear, Playstation 1 & 2. I'm big on RPGs, I have played quite a few of them, and while I'm not a seasoned expert on the games I'll do my best to help you find an answer. I also have a couple of friends I can rely on if need be, one of my friends being a fantatic on several titles including Zelda, Castlevania & King of Fighters. I'm a jack of all games (except sports) and a master at...well none really.

Experience
I've played video games on various consoles for probably over a decade. They're one of my favorite pasttimes.

Education/Credentials
No formal education relating to this...

Console Games (Nintendo, Sony etc.) and Arcade Games - The Legend of Zelda:The Wind Waker

Expert: Matlock - 3/28/2008

Question
now i know this is stupid but i got wind waker few years ago but then lost memory card and just got one about a week ago and i got to the last part in the game, where i go back to hyrule castle after getting the triforce of courage, well i did that, i went into the basement where zelda is, and i defeated the darknuts, went to the back of the castle, destroyed the barrier, went down the path, hookshot across the gaps, and i got in the cave with the door leading into ganons tower ,you now the one in the cave with the picture of a bull(guessing its ganon), and it won't open no matter what i do the stupid door won't open its driving me crazy. Is there a secret switch or something i have to do or is it just a glitch? Really need an answer! After a couple of years without memory card finally got one and the stupid door wont open, please right back thanks. ALLEXPERTS ROCK!

Answer
Hey there John. Well let me do my best to help you.

See I never actually beat the Wind Waker myself. You think losing the memory card is bad? I lost my copy of the game AND the player's guide. Oi. But luckily for situations like this, there's www.gamefaqs.com, an awesome site to go to when you have these sorts of troubles.

Now, after checking several walkthoughs I may have your answer. You can't go into the main door yet. There's four mini-dungeons that need to be completed first so I would suggest looking for their entrances elsewhere in the room. Having never played it myself that's all I can figure.
