AboutJoseph Expertise I can answer any and all questions regarding any console games made including both older and modern generations (From the Atari 2600 to the Wii) as well as PC Games (both new and old). I'm familiar also with the technical aspect of console gaming systems. I can offer tips and tricks for most any game from finding a secret item to how to get through those stressful boss fights (aka - strategies), as well as recommendations for new and upcoming games. I can't answer questions about how to mod systems (since it voids your warranties anyway) and how to hack video games using your console.
Experience I've worked 2 years at an EB Games as a part time job through college. I've also been playing and collecting video games since I was 6 years old. I've owned all video game systems (new and old!).
Education/Credentials I've had some computer programming experience in my way to become a Computer Engineer.
Awards and Honors I've won many local video game tournaments through games such as Halo, Halo 2, Counterstrike, World of Warcraft (PvP tournaments), and most popular RTS games.
Question ok i know your going to say send it to nintendo for the repair but i want
answer for how "I" would at home. ok the super smash bro's brawl wont work
on my wii because of the disc read error. I know I have to clean the lens. now,
do you know where a site or place or if you know how to open up the wii and
how to clean the lens in a way it wont hurt my wii, and yess i'm willing to take
the risk.
Thanks
Answer I'm sorry to say you're going to have to call up nintendo anyway. Smash bros. is the first dual layered disk released for the wii, and some wiis wil not be able to play it. Certain runs of the system slightly differ from others and some of them will not read the new duel layered disks. It seems that your wii happens to be one of those said systems. There's nothig you can do at home to fix this problem. Cleaning the lens, buying a new copy of the game. etc. will do nothing, you will have to call nintendo and ship your wii off to them, they will fix the problem. And yes I don't recommend taking any system apart if you have a problem. Unless you have a lot of technical know-how when it comes to that particular hardware, there's a very good chance you'll permantly damage the system, and then you just voided your warrenty by taking it apart. Nintendo will not repair a system that has been opened up before (and yes there are several ways to tell if a system has been taken apart).
