Question Hi, do you know if there is a way of being able to play US games on a European wii console - my husband has just brought 3 home and it says unable to read disc - my son is gutted! Thanks.

No, I'm very sorry the Wii Region is locked. Unfortunately, US games will not work on an European console, and vice versa.
However, there is the possibility of purchasing this:
I'm not 100% sure it will work, and I don't really recommend trying it. But, if you want to, its up to you, just be prepared for any problems it may cause your console.
