Console Games (Nintendo, Sony etc.) and Arcade Games - PSP Internet connection

Expert: Russell - 4/21/2008

Question
hey,
I am trying to connect my PSP to the internet on WIFI when it goes to obtain the IP address it says " a connection error has occurred. The Attempt to obtain the IP Address timed out."
If you could help me in anyway it would mean a lot to me

thanks

Answer
Are you trying to automatically obtain IP Address or are you manually typing it in. You should manually type in all your IP address. You can find out your IP by double clicking on networking settings clicking the network icon. Then you should click the support tab. You keep the IP the same except for the last number. You can have your last digit of your IP be higher, so if your IP is 113 have your PSP be 114. The sub mask and the default gateway stay the same. for DNS servers, click details. You should only need a primary DNS server. I think its the third or first one that works, not sure, so try them one by one. If you have any questions feel free to contact me.
