Question
i have a ps1, and i keep trying to connect it through my video  to show on my tv. i know that my ps1 is working properly, as i have a portable screen on there, and it works alright on there, but if i want to play games like dance mat, i need it to be shown on the tv. (it has work on this tv & video before, and i set it up as i seem to remember it being set up, but it still won't work =[ )
the connection from the ps1 say to connect it to the ariel socket, and i think i've done that correctly, but it still doesn't show. i tried scanning for it, but it didn't show up. it didn't work either when i tried connecting it up directly to the tv.
help?
thanks.

Answer
Gday there,

Okay something to check.  If your are connection your PS1 thru the areal/coax cable on the back of your VCR your should have a PS1 RF cable that will probably have a box with a switch on it that says CH3/CH4.  This is what channel you have to tune it to depending what the switch is switched too.  (I am assuming you have this type of cable if you are just using just a piece of cable without a rf box this is possible why it is not working.  If it is a AV cable with a Yellow White and red end this is a different connection and needs to be connected differently)

If your are connecting it directly to the back of your TV you have to tune to whatever channel is selected on you RF box to that channel on you TV (It's either going to be Channel 3 or 4).

If you are connecting it to the VCR (Where the Areal/Coax cable plugs in the back of your VCR) you have to have the TV tuned to whatever channel it needs to be to watch the video, the VCR to be powered on (Not on standby) and the channel on the VCR to be set whatever the switch is on the RF switch (Again either Channel 3 or 4)

Hope this helps.
