QuestionQUESTION: I'm not sure where to ask this but if you can't may you please refer me to another expert.
I have the eLink cartridge that allows GBA roms to be played on an actual GBA. It is working up to the point of actually burning the roms onto the eLinker. When I try to burn I get the error "linkerror [003]" If someone can help me fix this I will be very gratefull. Thanks, Josh
ANSWER: Gday Josh,
Are you running a PC with XP or Vista? (It has major problems with Vista and may not work)
Okay have we tried the following method on your XP Machine.
With your computer on, plug the USB cable into your computer and then plug the cable into the Elink cartridge. Leave the cartridge plugged into the computer with the computer on for at least 4 hours. (I believe the cartridge has an internal battery that needs charging for between 4-8 hours)
Re-install the E-link software Best you copy the entire program on the CD to your hard drive and install from there) and do not upgrade the software. (I have read reports that the upgrade causes problems)
Once you have the software installed and the cartridge charged you are right to go.
Insert the elink cart into your GBA/DS/SP and turn it on, start the software on your computer then connect the USB cable to your computer and Elink cart. You should be able to burn form there.
If you after this still have a problem try replacing the USB cable. Check again. If still failing the Elink on another DS/GBA/SP. If available try another computer. If it is still failing after all this then you got a bad elink cart. (This type of technology is dodgy and sloppily made at best of the time. Just buy original carts and save yourself the hassle.)
I hope this helps.

QUESTION: we solved error 003 and 006 now we have error 002 and if you could tell us how to fix it that would be great thanks for the help in the first place
AnswerGday again Josh,
When you re-installed the Elink software did it give you an error? (it probably did)
There is a probably problem with the registry entries on your computer probably caused by the Elink install.
The Elink software installation executable has a number of Chinese characters in it. On the CD it is something like elink%$##%.exe (Sorry I can't actually get the ASCII chars I want to work but you get the picture) Best thing to do is totally wipe out the software again on you computer. Copy the executable to your computer again from the CD or mini disk but before running it rename it to something like elink.exe.
This should fix up your problem.
