Question
hi when i went to turn on my psp to play my game, the game ddint show up so i can click it i tried taking it out and restarting it what wrong with it how come it not showing my game or popping it up on the screen?

Answer
Gday Ray,

Firstly is it one game or all games.  (Maybe the game is at fault.)

If it is all games your UMD drive is not working properly it maybe just dirty or could be broken or could be a sensor in the drive door not working.

First thing you need to check is when you put in the UMD does it sound like the disk is spinning up.  (This will later help you in buying parts to fix it)

What I would do if you have not already use a UMD Len cleaning kit.  Or you could clean it with some cleaning alcohol and a q-tip to reach the lens in the UMD drive.

If this fails then you will probably have to replace the UMD drive or the UMD optic lens.  If the drive sounds like it is spinning up okay it usually a lens going out.  But if the drive does not sound like it is spinning up then you could have a broken motor.  Regardless the PSP is very modular and once you figure out what is wrong with it you just order the part then replace.

Hope this helps.
