Console Games (Nintendo, Sony etc.) and Arcade Games/Nintendo Wii

Question
Hello.  Would you be able to let me know why all of a sudden the wave bird controllers I'd been using to play GameCube games on my Wii just all of a sudden stopped working?  One day they worked as always, the next the Wii acts as if they aren't even plugged in.  As far as I know the console was not changed in any way.  I can't figure it out, it's not the batteries, they appear to be powered up and in sync, but they just are not working now.  Help!  Thanks.

Answer
Gday Carla,

About the only thing I can think of is maybe the controller ports in the Wii has gone out?

Do you have any other wired controllers you could test in the unit?  Or perhaps test the Wavebird controllers on an old Gamecube or another Wii?  Maybe even switch the controllers to ports 3 and 4 and see if they work?

You Wii has not been knocked over or suffered a tumble?  Possible the controller ports have become unconnected from the mother board?

Hopefully it not that the controller ports have stopped functioning as you might have to send it back to Nintendo if it has.
