Question My grandfather purchased a Wii last year and has used it only once or twice. He recently retired and has decided that he wants to get some additional games to help pass the time. He is in his early 80's and is not very computer literate. I want to buy him a few games for Christmas presents, but I'm not sure what I should get. I think that he wants to "shoot at stuff". I am considering Wii Play, Mario Kart Wii, Mario Party 8, Punch Out and Super Smash Bros. Brawl. I don't own a Wii, so I'm not sure which ones would be the best fit. I'm sure that whatever games I get him will require some instruction on my part, which is fine. Any suggestions?
Answer Gday Alissa,
Well it would really depend what your Grand Fathers other interests are. I'd try and find out what other activities he would do or even like to do but maybe because of age/location/fitness level may not be able to pull it off in the real world. But with a Wii may be able to snowboard with the best of them etc.
If He likes Golf, Golfing Games like Tiger Woods 10. Hunting, Cabela's Big Game Hunter. Racing Mario Kart Wii. Etc Maybe find something he'd like to do but can't any more. (Again maybe he'd love to play golf but can manage 18 holes but in the comfort of his lounge would be able to.)
For generic Wii games that probably should be enjoyed by just about anyone I'd look into the following games:-
Wii Fit or Plus
Wii Sports Resort
New Super Mario Bros
Boom Blox
Any of the Trauma Center games
Mario Party like you suggested
Rayman Raving Rabbids (Wii)
