Question
hello
I have 2 game boy advances and pokemon gold and silver, but if I want change or fight with a link cable it does not go.
How comes that?
Help me please

Answer
Gday Dieter,

Unfortunately with the older GB/GBC Pokemon series you can't fight each other (That came with the GBA Series of Pokemon) although you can trade Pokemon.

The big problem is you can only trade Pokemon using the Blue/red/yellow/silver/gold/Crystal cartridges using a GB or GBC (Game Boy Color) Link cable not a GBA link cable.

So you need an older Style Gameboy link cable to link you 2 GBA together and not an Game Boy Advanced link cable.  As the software use different protocols and the cables are different and will refuse to work.

Hope this helps.
