Console Games (Nintendo, Sony etc.) and Arcade Games - psp joystick

Expert: Octane - 6/24/2009

Question
when I replaced the psp 2001 joystick, now when I turn the game on it just scrolls all the time like it is stuck in the up or down position but it is not. Is there a way to calibrate it or something.

Answer
Gday Jeff,

To Calibrate the Joysticks range of motion.  Go into the Settings/System Settings, and then with the System Information screen displayed rotate the analog stick in a circular motion.  This should work on all PSP models.

If it is still scrolling like crazy then you have either a bad Analog joystick or maybe there connections is not right where the Joystick touches the main board.  (May need cleaning or at least pulling apart.

Hope this helps
