Console Games (Nintendo, Sony etc.) and Arcade Games/Trying to recall SNES game

Question
I'm trying to find an SNES game my brother and I used to play and love back in the day. Strangely I can't remember the title at all. Anyway, here's the description:

It was a 2D, side-scrolling, beat-'em-up type game for one or two players. At the start you got to choose between being a cop or FBI agent (I think). The game had an urban setting. And that's about all I remember. Except I'm almost willing to bet Konami either develobped it or published it (I've tried Internet searches along these lines but no dice) because I seem to associate their logo with the game.

I relize you're not exclusively an SNES expert, so perhpas the question is too obscure; but you do seem sort of all-knowing, so I thought I'd try my luck. Any speculation would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Terry

Answer
Gday Terry,

I think your memory is playing tricks on you.  I checked all Konami side scroller beat-em-up for the SNES and none fit your description.  (Konami only released maybe one or to of this type of game the only note worthy is Turtles in Time and a couple of Batman Titles)

Side Scrolling beat ups of the time that where 2 player that loosely fit you description... (And there where not that many as most where Street Fighter Clones)

Brawl Brothers - Jaleco
Rival Turf! - Jaleco
The Peace Keepers - Jaleco
Super Double Dragon - Technos
The Combatribes - Technos
Final Fight 2 - Capcom
Final Fight 3 - Capcom

At a guess its probable one of the Jaleco titles.  (I'd get on Youtube and check the suggestions out and see if anything rings a bell with you)

Hope this helps...
